click to enlarge Civic Addressing Nova Scotia Civic Address File Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations This project consists of geo-referencing and data base development to document the province’s Civic Addressing (also known as 911 Addressing). Phase one involves Cumberland County, while phase two involves mapping of the entire province. Total value of both phases is in excess of $ 2 million. This project involves the field collection of civic addresses and other attributes, and linking them to the geographic coordinates of buildings that already exist in the topographic data base. Roads and civic addressable buildings that have been built since the last release of the topobase are positioned using GPS technology, and added to the file. The data base is delivered in an ArcInfo / MS Access environment.
